In 2021 the UK government announced that it will be mandatory for 1,300+ of the largest UK-registered companies and financial institutions to disclose climate-related financial information

In 2021 the UK government announced that, from 6 April 2022, it would be mandatory for  1,300+ of the largest UK-registered companies and financial institutions to disclose climate-related financial information, in line with the framework designed by the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

Other disclosures are set to follow suit , from 2024,The EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will mean around 50,000 companies are subject to mandatory sustainability reporting. 

There is a big demand for talent that can understand and utilise these frameworks, aligning them with the requirements of investors & lenders and preventing green washing.
